Position Summary
The IT System Administrator will provide IT support, monitoring, and oversight of the servers, network environment, and computer assets. Responsibilities include:
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
- Install, modify, and repair computer software and hardware
- Support and oversee systems administration tasks (Active Directory, office, printers, company policy, network security, etc.)
- Manage short term and long term backups
- Engage and oversee the monitoring, analysis, and management of server and workstation health; including review of system logs, disk space utilization, processor and memory utilization as well as patch, backup, and AntiThreat measures
- Install, configure and maintain security tools (web, filter, spam filter, virus protection, firewalls, wireless, etc.), and remote access to the network (portal, VPN)
- Perform system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hotfixes, firmware updates on networking and related equipment
- Maintain up-to-date documentation on all server, network, hardware, software equipment, and configurations
- Articulate and maintain internal system security policies
- Create and update knowledge base articles to provide procedures and guidance to IT, staff, and users, as appropriate
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, information technology, data communications, telecommunications, computer science, or equivalent educational
- Technical proficiency including systems experience, strong troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, and issue management in a multi-platform environment
- International qualification is desired: MCSE, CCNA
- Excellent in English (Reading, Speaking and Writing
